For our undergrad batch graduation ceremony, I prioritized drawing small tokens to my four friends who were part of our close-knit group. By the fate of our student ID number, we were bound to stick together through our tough classes. However, during their graduation days, I was not able to draw something for Nana. Almost one year later, it’s fitting to make something before leaving the country for a year.

For her drawing, I looked for inspiration from lemon trees and flowers from East Asia. I established my drawing format as bookmarks through this experiment. I even bought a pack of plastic casing for the artwork which I brought even to Trieste.

Anyway, this is an appreciation post for the person behind my log on Bandung. She was definitely a reason I didn’t completely leave my writing and creative journey during our math-focused undergraduatue study–and I’m grateful for this.
