I wrote this on another page, but again, Cedric was someone important through my academic pursuit in the diploma program. It’s not about having a studying partner, but it’s also to have someone to discuss our subject until it bled through our daily life. Sometimes when you study something in class, you left the knowledge in the room. However, with him, I could unapologetically bring it to daily life. I thought of our talks as we scrolled through LinkedIn during our commute checking out new research, as we cooked on our shared schedule.
During its speech, Bee recounted that Cedric showed us how tiny gestures meant a lot. This is exceptionally true, something that I had already felt as we celebrated his birthday humbly at our apartment. When other people told me they liked to join our table during breakfast, I thought of Cedric and Nar who kept our atmosphere fun and friendly.

While planning my doodle for him, I chose things that made me think of Madagascar: their orchid, palm and baobab tree, and lemur. I remembered our silly conversation that still makes me chuckled, looking for a picture of a brown-orange lemur that he liked.
Anyway, I often tear up while listening to Can’t Stop Loving You by Phil Collins because of him. While we’re studying, we liked to blast music to sing along to it. If something from Phil Collins were played, it’s probably because of him. On his last day hanging out in ICTP, I discovered that particular song by chance. Thanks for being my friend, goat!
